It's come to my attention that scratch has refused the addition of a second squruel sprite in their graphics library. Many of their characters, who represent the brand, get multiple sprites as a means to solidify their image and attract an audience of young programmers. The focus on brand mascots is a poor representation of the diverse cast of characters that scratch has established in its graphics library. Therefore, scratch has made itself to be more about exclusion rather than inclusion. This practice of leaving others out goes against their community guidelines. Scratch specifically states that they are a diverse and inclusive community. However, the spectrum of who to include only goes as far as characters and people, not squirrels. You can make the claim that the addition of one squirrel sprite is enough to validate proper representation. However, the sprite is buried deep within the library while brand characters such as the cat and button 2 are visible on the first page. Thus, the squruel is neglected. So scratch, rather than greedily profiting from your brand and ignoring the voice of the few in your community, you can adhere to proper representation and add a second squruel sprite.
