Honestly I can't believe I've made it this far. My last record for drawing every day was 27 consecutive days (5/8/21 - 6/3/21). As of right now I'm at 59, which is a little bit more than double my previous record. Wow Space/click/arrow keys to advance. Once again I've numbered these by day and not by slide, so if you get mixed up just read the date that's written by each drawing. 1 - Starting the month the same way it ended with more Matt Murdock (in my semi-cartoony or whatever style) 2 - Another semi-whatever style Matt Murdock. It ended up kind looking like a streamer that I watch on youtube, Smallant (though I'm pretty sure he's been told in the past that he looks like Charlie Cox's Daredevil so I guess it works) 3 - More Matt Murdock 4 - Last one I promise (and probably my favorite of the group) 5 - More new style experiments, I like this one but it doesn't look much like the reference I used 6 - Like the hair but hate the face because I haven't had that much practice with this angle of the face 7 - First face I drew today had the opposite problem has the day before, love the face but hate the hair. Second one I don't like just because something in my brain wasn't clicking right when drawing it. 8 - DRAGON I'm really happy with this. These next few drawings are from a themed sketchbook I started so the dates are in viking runes. This one is 2/8/23 9 - Another dragon, I don't like it as much as the first one but it's still good. (2/9/23) 10 - A couple mini dragon bois. These were super quick bc it was late at night and I was falling asleep. I don't think I liked them at the time but I do now. (2/10/21) 11 - This one was also late at night and I didn't feel like drawing from a reference so I decided to draw my character Ruan that I hadn't drawn for a while from memory 12 - The next day I drew this using an old (and more realistic) drawing of Ruan as reference and this is one of my favorite drawings from this month 13 - Another Ruan, trying to push both perspective and expression and I really like how it turned out 14 - And another, less thrilled with this one 15 - Sad boi, fun expression that I don't think I've ever tried before (in either of my styles) and then an attempt at a profile view that I'm okay with 16 - Ruan again, Goblin Lad is back (and still needs a name). I got an image in my head of him playing a nintendo switch and this is what came of it (which I'm really proud of because I only used a reference for his legs) 17 - Rihanna, not a huge fan of this but I really like the left eye for some reason 18 - Flower that I hate because I drew it in five minutes just to keep up my streak 19 - An old character from my friend and I's old rp that I revisited and also aged-up (wasn't in the mood to draw a face this day) 20 - Another Rihanna, I'm much happier with this one but something still feels off about it 21 - China Anne McClain (aka my childhood), another favorite of this month. Also Willow Smith, I really like drawing this style of hair 22 - Ruan's back, can't decide if I love this one or hate it 23 - Ruan again, also undecided 24 - Pose that I really really love (also wasn't in a face-drawing mood this day), this is another favorite this month 25 - Sketch, lineart, and color of a crown I drew for my Grandma for her birthday (because we joke that she's the "Queen Mother" of our family). I liked it better without color but it's not like I can change it now. At least I thought to take a picture of it. I also started to draw another faceless pose. 26 - Finished the pose drawing from the day before. I don't like it quite as much as the first one I did but it's still good. 27 - Another drawing of Willow Smith. Like the last one I drew of her, I really like drawing this style of hair and I think it came out really well 28 - A quick first-pass design of my character Sura (part of Ruan's story) that I'm not super happy with (the drawing not the design, though it is subject to change) + some quick sketches I did to figure out what I wanted her markings to be. Then later that day I sat down and just started doodling and I drew the second drawing of her without a reference (I tried to add more of her personality instead of it just being a straight face like the first one) and I love it so much. It feels like drawing everyday for two months is really paying off based on the fact that lately I've been able to pull poses and expressions out of my brain and have them turn out really well. And that's it. Happy February everybody (or actually March now because I kept forgetting to post this). Hope you had a good month of love, whether that be in a relationship, a friendship, or just good ol' self-love.
