Words Hurt. Chapter 4 Notice: This chapter is taken back a couple of hours to 8:15, the morning of the first day of school. My notes: This chapter is pretty short and I'm sorry :< But I hope you like it :D Walking down the hall of silver oak high, The same school Kaila and her friends went to, was a 14-year-old boy named Jay. Jay is one of lily's many lgbtq+ friends. Jay is your local gay, demi-boy, nerd of the school. Jay had the best grades in all his classes. He got picked on for a while after he came out, but the drama was leveled down ever since then. Something that makes Jay different is that jay blushes for different reasons, not just being embarrassed, or falling in love. Jay was also late for his second class of the day, social studies. He rushed through the hall looking for his class. Once jay found his class, he walked in. All the kids were bored of listening to their teacher talk on and on about how her class is gonna work. Once Jay walked in, all their heads snapped toward him, Which made Jay flustered because he doesn't get much attention, other than being known as "the gay nerd." "*Ahem* Why are you late?," Miss Laura, His teacher, asked in a rather harsh tone, with a hand on her hip and the other pointing at Jay. Jay stuttered but got his reply out soon enough, "S-so sorry M-miss, I-i slept in," Jay said as he looked at the floor. Pause. "Don't let it happen again," His teacher said, glaring at him. Jay blushed harder than Miss laura's red lipstick, which Jay thought she shouldn't be able to wear in school. "Y-y-yes M-miss," Jay said, almost whispering. As Jay walked towards his desk, he could hear a couple of people snickering, which, of course, made him blush even harder. Once Jay sat down, he regretted getting up from his bed that morning. Miss Laura started handing out "Get to know you!" sheets. Jay sighed and then got to work. He finished and waited a couple of minutes then got bored, so he took out his ph0n3, slowly, to make sure Miss Laura didn't see him. He checked his n0t1fic@t!ons and found a m3ss@g3 from Lily. 'Guess what?' Jay got scared for a second because he always overthinks things. 'What is it?' 'So I meant this girl and... OMG she's so cuteeeeeeee' 'Ha lol you made me scared for a sec xD' 'rwjdsbjhdsjak,m Her name is Kaila and wha the heccc?!' Jay chuckled. He always felt so happy whenever Lily found someone she liked. Lily was one of the only gay people in her grade, even the school. She always loved the romance and was always excited to meet someone she liked. 'Out of a scale of 1-10, how soon are you gonna ask her out?' Pause. 'am I allowed to say today-' 'Lol go for it :>' 'hehe :>' Jay looked up from his ph0n3 and noticed the teacher was collecting the papers so he quickly said goodbye to Lily. 'gah I gtg now :<< Byee' 'Ahw Byee' Jay put his ph0n3 away just as Miss Laura was walking by. She snatches his paper with a grim look on her face, Then dismisses the students for break. Lily and Jay always meet up at a table in the back of the cafeteria, Mainly because that's where they met. "Hey! Jay over here!" Lily called as she waved her hands. Jay chuckled then sped up to reach her. Once he was close enough, he hugged lily. Most people who didn't know Jay was gay thought Lly and Jay were dating or at least had a crush on each other. Jay was fine with it because he was gay so it didn't matter. Lily did get a little confused when people would bring it up but she was mainly fine with it. "Hey!," Jay says as he lets go of Lily and starts to sit down. "So her name is Kaila and oh my god!! you don't get how cute she is, i- I can't even explain it PLUS I think she likes me too!!!" Lily kept talking about "Kaila" and, usually, Jay would expect her mood to go down by a hundred the next day because she found out they don't like her back, but this time... this time something was different... and Jay knew it. Jay's day goes on normally, but on his way home, Lily t3xt3d him with some good news. On his way home, Jay got a t3xt from Lily. 'OMG JAY GUESS WHAT' Jay paused for a sec, hoping it wouldn't be bad, 'Should I be worried?' 'Nope :DD this is /great/ news! Kaila gave me her ph0n3 nvmb3r and now Imma ask her if she wants to come over :D' 'omg yes! That's such a nice idea!' 'Thanks <3' Jay smiled then put his ph0n3 away. It was nice having happy friends.
