NEW: - Feb 24, 2023: added a background. - Mar 22, 2023: added an intro - I forget who it is from but I have had this in my backpack for a while and thought it would be nice in a contest entry. Please do not say that I forgot to give credit. I remembered to, but I forget who it was from. - Aug 1, 2023: added mobile controls. =============================================This is a half engine half game, therefore I will not except any comment along the lines of "Too easy" or "Too short" ============================================= The white screen with the player on it means you won. Please comment "terrible end screen" because there is a bit of lag but the last gravity shift is when you win. ============================================= The checkpoint that changes colour is the end goal. Platform = blue Lava and spikes = red (spikes are rectangles in terms of collisions, but are drawn as triangles) Trampoline = yellow Gravity shift = cyan Checkpoint = Green Speed Boost = light bluish greenish mix (you will know it when you see it) End goal = colourful square ============================================= See inside for a mini tutorial. =============================================Backpack or remix, credit is highly appreciated. ============================================= Holding up arrow for a second makes you jump higher than tapping the up arrow, but it barely makes a difference ============================================= Check out my best project by far!: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/809704841/ ============================================= Use this for way less lag and way better quality: https://turbowarp.org/809435165 =============================================Whoever helps me fix the player shaking glitch first will get a follow from me : ) Tags: I try not to use too many #Games #platformer #Tutorials
IMPORTANT!!! You can't see the thumbnail when you win, but when you press stop (red octagon), you can see it. ============================================= 3812 blocks+. 1377 of them are the actual platformer. I just learned that pen platformers are not as hard to make as it looks. There are two parts. Physics and a bunch of variable stuff, and the other part is the drawing. ============================================= Credit to: @zerx for some inspiration I forget who I got the intro from @fuzzy210 for everything else ============================================= If this gets popular enough, I will: - Allow advertising (it is currently not allowed) - Add music - Add an end screen - Make the level better - *Maybe* add multiple levels (only if this gets like, really popular; really Really REALLY popular) - I mean, sure, if this makes me a top 100 scratcher then i might add cloud.
