Top Axolotl Facts: -axolotls can regrow their brain -they are amphibians -the "frills" on the side are their gills -the word “axolotl” comes from the Nahuatl language of the Aztecs, and means “water dog.” -they can live up to 15 years -they grow to be about a foot or a little more -they are carnivores and love to eat worms -they are only native to one place in the world!
