Wolf: "I need to think, Dovewing. I'll be back." Dove: "I can't wait for you to return to see our kits." Wolf: "K-kits?!" So my theory is! Dovewing and Wolfmoon are mates! Dovewing is going to have kits and Wolfmoon doesn’t know. They have a fight and he need to to leave and clear his mind. Then she spills it and he loses his mind. So yeaaah!
