Updates on Dusky Breeze's Training! - February 13-26

Hi! These are the updates for my semi-wild 8 years old buttermilk bucksin mustang stallion, Dusky Breeze! I got him so we could participate in 2023's HP Mustang Makeover/Magic Show, hosted this year by @Dontay10/@Dontay13. ╔═══════ Week 3 ═══════╗ (February 13-19) ╔═ Day 13 ═╗ I took care of my other horses, then went to Dusky Breeze. As I looked at him, I remembered: I didn't intruduce him to Patch yet! I took a mental note to do that tomorrow, as I lead DB to the arena for our riding session. He was still visibly nervous, though I guess practice will help... We did a few circles walking, then I tried getting him trotting. He first started almost galloping, but after a few times he figured it out that he doewn't need to run. We continued the rest of the session switching from walking to trotting and vice versa without a pattern. At 5, I wanted to practice manuevering him into the trailer, so we did the whole session doing that. Not the best still, though I guess I need that practice too, since I don't need to use a trailer that often... by the end of the session we did some progress, but this is a weak spot for sure... ╔═ Day 14 ═╗ Today I intruduced Patch and DB to eachother in the arena! Dusky Breeze didn't really trust him that much, but Patch was there during our session, so DB could get used to him. Otherwise, I did the normal routine. ╔═ Day 15 ═╗ I did the normal routine of practicing walking and trotting whilst riding and loading DB into the trailer. ╔═ Day 16 ═╗ I did the normal routine of practicing walking and trotting whilst riding and loading DB into the trailer again. ╔═ Day 17 ═╗ I did the normal routine of practicing walking and trotting whilst riding and loading DB into the trailer again. For loading into the trailer, it's going quite well now! I'm pleased with it. The trotting/walking whilst riding is something I think DB's quite good at now! ╔═ Day 18 ═╗ I started practicing loping with Dusky Breeze. ╔═ Day 19 ═╗ Regular routine. ╔═══════ Week 4 ═══════╗ (February 20 - February 26) ╔═ Day 20 ═╗ I did the routine again. ╔═ Day 21 ═╗ Today, I started practicing backing up and changing directions whilst riding Dusky Breeze for the manuevers part of the competition! It wasn't very easy, and we had a great bit of difficulty... ╔═ Day 22 ═╗ I practiced manuevering. ╔═ Day 23 ═╗ The manuevering which we practiced was getting a lot better now! However, it's still a bit difficult backing DB up. ╔═ Day 24 ═╗ More practice!... ╔═ Day 25 ═╗ And more... ╔═ Day 26 ═╗ Today, I went on a little trail ride with Dusky Breeze into the forest! It was a good time, and we both enjoyed it! I also brought Patch along.
