Enjoy this chapter! `Chapter 1` It was early in the morning, just before dawn. A tiny lightning dog trotted through the school, holding a lime green tennis ball. He raced to a dorm, racing past another door before entering one. A dark browned hair girl with messy curly hair was sleeping. He nosed her hair and she murmured, pushing him away with her hand, but sat up amused and rubbed his head. Cassidy rubbed her eyes and pushed her hair behind her ears. She quickly changed into a thick gray shirt and smoothed her hair with a comb. She walked out of her dorm and started to go to the breakfast cafeteria when she spotted Damp and Taylor talking. Cassidy started to turn red when she saw Taylor but felt relieved that he didn't notice her. Damp spotted her though and gave her a smug look and he bopped Taylor with his elbow. Taylor looked at him confused, but spotted Cassidy and started blushing enormously. Damp laughed and Taylor started to smack him. Cassidy smiled a bit and continued walking when she saw Mara running up to her. ``CASSIDY!`` Mara cried. ``What?`` Cassidy asked. ``Oh nevermind, I'll say it when we get to the cafeteria!`` Mara cried, giggling. Cassidy widened her eyes in fake shock but followed Mara through the students that were starting to wake up, and into the cafeteria. She and Mara grabbed a tray and slid it over to the lunch aid. ``Pancake day!`` a voice said next to Cassidy. Cassidy jumped and started to blush when she realized it was Taylor. ``R-Right?`` he asked nervously, giving Cassidy an awkward grin. ``Yeah,`` she said back, giving a tiny smile before Mara took her arm and yanked Cassidy next to her. ``WHAT THE HECK?!`` Cassidy shouted. ``Sheeshus, no need to get so furious,`` Mara huffed. Cassidy rolled her eyes as the lunch aids gave her her tray back. She and Mara sat down at an empty table. ``So, you know how we have these students?`` Mara asked while sipping a box of juice. ``Yeah?`` Cassidy asked, crunching on an apple. ``Well, we haven't had someone new in a while.`` Mara declared. ``So guess what?`` ``What?`` Cassidy asked, genuinely confused. ``There's a new student coming!`` End of Chapter 1
