A very, very long time ago there were 3 kings of color. Red, yellow, and blue. They ruled their subjects peacefully, allowing the colors to intermix as they please, live among any kingdom. Some colors were faithful to their kings, staying shades of his color. Others mixed to the point of no recognition, not having a clear kingdom to belong to. But the kings let them go to which of the three they wished, and to move freely between them. Even colors that did not match their realm at all were allowed permanent residence. After many generations, there were no more new colors to be found. Every soul had found its shade and its residence, and lived in harmony. Then, one day, two new beings appeared. Stronger even than the three kings. These gods called themselves black and white, respectively. White announced they were the only pure colors in existence. That these shades and mix matched creatures were abominations. That even the Primary colors used to create them, the kings, were merely off shoots of white, shot out through a prism millenia ago, along with few others who it seems werent powerful enough to persist on their own, but came back into existence through mixtures. Orange, Green, Indigo, and violet. The original souls to take on these colors did indeed have stronger power than the average citizen, though not comparable to that of the kings. They'd been dubbed knights of the people, belonging to no kingdom. Black remarked viciously how itd told white not to create life in the first place, that it would ruin the purity of their universe. White did not heed the warning, assuming nothing created through the prism would last long. Though as we know, 3 of the 7 did last. According to the two, they'd spend all of the kingdoms known existence trying to locate it in the universe to destroy it and return purity to existence. White, it seems, could only create. Being the beginning of everything, after all. But black could destroy. Black was the absence of color, of existence. A war broke out. White used its power to shift the walls of their world, their kingdom, everything they knew to exist. Trapping them and making them easier to destroy. The knights did their best to protect the people, but did not last long against the vengeful gods. Before their final departure, violet located the kings, finding them in a hidden cavern. The kings were wounded, to different extents. Blue stood powerless, weaker even than a newly mixed color, having sacrificed all of her power to heal and save as many as she could. Though rendered useless, her body was unscathed. The same could not be said for red. Xeir body was nearly beyond recognition, as the once noble king sat in pain, unable to even stand. Xeir once majestic wings were cracked and torn, but xe still held xeir head high as xey watched violet enter. Violet, with what little strength they had left, told the kings they had an idea that just might work against the gods. Then they realized the lack of yellows presence. They asked with a heavy heart where the third king was located, and blue stepped aside to reveal him. Yellow had gotten the worst of the damage between the kings. Hed shot out to the front lines without hesitation, fighting the gods head on, giving people as much time to find safety as they could, and doing his best to defeat this imposible evil. Yellow lie in the cavern of the kings, hardly recognizable. There was little of him left, his proper physical form gone entirely, a soft essence and a formless mass all that remained. he wouldn't last long in this form, even if the war was won. The only reason yellow persisted at all was due to red flying up to where he fought the gods and swooping him from the battle before he was fully destroyed. In the process xer body was horribly damaged, likely beyond the ability to ever fully heal again, and xer wings would never again lift xem from the ground. Despite every ounce of energy counting for yellows continued existence, he was the first to speak up. "What is your plan, Knight Violet?" Violet explained that they'd had the idea for the kings to join their power, all at once, to combine them into a single energy without letting the colors mix, and hitting the gods with the power. With a shaky tear violet admitted that seeing the state of the kings, this was impossible. They apologise, before finally fading out of existence. Blue hung her head in mourning for the late knight, and red growled in anger at the thought of the kingdoms helplessness against the gods. Yellow was about to speak again but, sensing this, blue begged him not to. To instead save his strength. Yellow didnt listen, instead proposing an idea. "We could still combine our efforts. I wont last long like this, friends, but i can pass my strength unto you." He began. Red looked at him suspiciously, and blue opened her mouth to protest. "Don't start, blue. Im useless like this. No good will come from me staying here." (Continued in notes)
(continued from instructions. Good lord i did not mean to write this much what the heck-) "Allow me to do this. To heal your form, red, and to regain your strength, blue." Yellow spoke with a level headed determination. Blue frowned thoughtfully, though didn't speak up. Red, however, did. "Yellow." Xey addressed the form with a low voice. "It wont be enough. Im sorry. Even if you were at your full power, it wouldn't be enough split between us. Im beyond repair, and blue is entirely powerless. It would only delay our inevitable. You may as well prolong your own instead." Red ended firmly. This is the closest Red has come in recent memory to vocally admitting care for xeir fellow rulers, typically pretending to think of them as nothing more than respected equals and acquaintances, though xer actions repeatedly showed otherwise. Yellow didnt respond, reluctantly seeing the truth in reds words. "Actually..." Blue spoke, the attention turning to her. "I could give my body. I may have no power, but my form still holds my essence, my strength. And it is un damaged." She spoke slowly, as though thinking very carefully how to phrase her observations. "What are you implying?" Red asked apprehensively. "Im saying..." Blue started, taking a deep breath and speaking with a stern determination. "That with both of your powers and my form combined into one, we may have a chance." Her words hung heavy in the air, silence stretching for what felt like an eternity but must have been less than a minute. "Shes right, you know." Yellow spoke quietly. Red whipped xer head around to look at yellows essence incredulously. "I could use my power to mend your forms together, and transfer my essence to you in the process, effectively bringing us to a fully powered being. Likely more than we ever have been." Red open xeir mouth to protest, but the words died at the back of xeir throat. "However, blue..." Yellow spoke again "This would likely remove your consciousness from your own body." Yellow warned simply. Blue nodded firmly. "Im prepared to make that sacrifice." She said without hesitation. Red gave her a muted look of panic. "We cant." Xey said, then paused. "../I/ cant. You two would be gone. Id be on my own as this new being." Xeir voice cracked slightly, despite xemself. Blue walked over and gently nuzzled reds neck, a gesture similar to an intimate hug, before addressing xem. "You may not be able to hear us, but we will still be there Red. We will always be with you. I will respect your decision, but know, this is the only way we can win this." Blue spoke softly. After a moment, red nodded in defeated. "Alright. Yellow..?" Xey said expectantly, ready for the process to begin. Knowing they didn't have much time left, the three began without another word. Yellows physical form dissipated, but his essence flew to fill the room, and drew the two bodys together. Becoming momentarily a formless bubble of tri-colored power, the three kings fused into one. The mass of blues form shifted and grew to a larger beast than any of the kings had previously been. Yellow stripes crossed along the body of the entity, radiating power. It filled cracks in reds charm, yellows own charm returning and floating next to it. Blues charm, a diamond, returned as well. Though being now only the essence of blues power it filled with a different energy to repair itself. Red. It now sat smaller and a top the crown Red had been wearing. Finally, the last of yellows energy sizzled to the creatures wings, automatically attempting to repair itself. But they had waited too long. Much more whole than it had been, but not fit for flight. Perhaps gliding, however. The newly formed creature opened its eyes. They were full and red, not even a pupil to be found. The creature cried out and the sound boomed over the land. Everyone stopped in their tracks. Hearing the rumbling shriek the gods, black and white, turned in confusion only to be met with a form approaching on the horizon. The few remaining citizens stared in awe at the beast, an impossibly huge being radiating power. Though the creature only stood half as tall as the gods. (though to be fair, þei supposed, the gods were only standing on two legs.) Black chuckled and threw an attack þeir way. It didn't land. Confused, black pelted more and more attacks þeir way. It continued to have no effect. þei stepped forward with a heavy glare. The gods looked at each other for a moment on worry then grumbled in displeasure. In a booming, all encompassing and yet so terrifyingly empty voice, black spoke. "FINE. WE WILL COME BACK FOR YOU, FOOLISH CREATURE. YOU ARE TOO LATE NOW. ENJOY LIVING IN A WORLD WHERE NOTHING EXISTS APART FROM YOU. THE LAST KING." and with a motion, black took out the last remaining citizens. It took out the remaining mass of the kingdoms. It took the stars. Everything was gone. Ever since then, the entity, The Last King, has roamed the void in search for the gods.
