Egretrain’s Tide “Y-you always told me you had my back, brother. Ash, why d-did you do th-this?” Egretrain was fighting alongside her mate, Flameslash, and their clan’s patrol against WolfClan’s patrol. Ashclaws was her brother, but part of WolfClan. He was fighting her, eventually. Ashclaws clawed her eye and slashed her chest. He slashed her front leg and tackled her. Off. A. Cliff. Flameslash ran toward the cliff. Egretrain fell so quickly, she could see her life flashing before her eyes. Flameslash caught her tail and hauled her up. WolfClan was retreating, so they hurried down to camp and ran to the HeronClan Medicine Cat, Alderclaws. Egretrain woke up. “I’m so sorry, Egret.” Flameslash whispered to her. “I… don’t know why…” she whispered back. “I could have drowned! Didn’t he care?!” She said, voice rising. “I don’t know…” Flameslash said, thinking about the fight. I’M LEAVING IT AT THIS
