In the catholic church, there are certain standards of modesty in the sanctuary. men have their head uncovered, and women have it covered. So only women are allowed to veil, as this is a kind gesture for Christ, and for our blessed mother, the Theotokos. 3. what kind of veils are there? there are several types of veils, depending on different cultures. in the west, "mantilla veils" are most common. in countries such as Lebanon, Palestine, and India, headscarves are worn, and in parts of africa, "gele" and "netela" are worn! also, mantilla veils have a few styles, such as infinity veils, mini circular veils, and most common, triangle veils. thank you so much for reading, and i hope you have a wonderful day or night!
