DISCLAIMER; i don’t mean to throw hate or shade to any of the groups that are mentioned here, these are my opinions and you have your own opinions too. ^^ WHAT IS A 4TH GEN GROUP: A fourth generation group is when a group debuted from 2019 till present, 4th generation is the most like generation in the kpop industry as it has caught many international and national fans hearts. 4th gen groups consist of a few popular groups you may know, example: Enhyphen, New-jeans, Le sserfaim, TXT, (G)-IDLE,ITZY and many more. IS 4TH GEN MUSIC OVERRATED? In my opinion, fourth gen music is overrated but sometimes not in a bad way. Some fourth gen groups are insanely talented and don't lip sync. Other fourth gen groups do lip sync and focus on dancing rather than singing on stage. IVE for example, there voices are amazing but on stage they do focus on dancing and their dance choreography is very repetitive, without lip syncing I think all the members have amazing voices. LESS LINES AND SCREEN TIME: This is very common in the kpop industry where companies give their members less lines and screen time. A lot of members in kpop groups have angelic voices and don’t get the lines they need, for instance in TXT beomgyu gets the least lines and taehyun gets the least screen time, This may be because they give the most lines to the person who is very strong in vocals, rapping and dancing. Choi Yeonjun is the most liked and popular member in TXT, many people know him for his vocals and rapping in txt songs. In my opinion fourth gen groups (and the other generation groups) should give the same amount of lines and screen to the members as it doesn’t result in a fair manner. I do understand some members aren’t very strong in some categories and that’s absolutely fine.
