This would usually be the sort of project that belongs on a side account, but I think my snail-daughter is worth more than that. :P (click/space/tap for all the pictures) [update May 3 - added more pictures] Meet Emmanuelle, my Escargot! (Each student of my French class got to adopt a snail - and "adopt an escargot" is an actual thing with French classes, and there's an official website; it's very entertaining.) Since we get to decorate (that sounds kind of weird) them however we like, I gave Emmanuelle eyeliner, blush, hair, and clothes and made an attempt at sewing a mini beret. Her house I spent hours decorating - you might recognize the little French flag that's in the cup (I put it in there because French is her cup of tea). And when people asked what I was doing, I could just say I was working on a school project - technically the truth xD Credits: - the guy who crocheted the 16 snails for our class - ma prof généreuse et fantastique for buying all of us the expensive little glass boxes and the snail shells and planning this for us (and also giving me the little teacup and saucer plus the felt and bead for the beret) - that random nice hotel lady that gave me the pink rose pole thing that's in the corner of Emmanuelle's house
