Forms of Government: Anarchy: A form of "government" where there are no laws or central authority. None Has no military or taxes Rebellions have +99% Support Likely to be a breeding ground of Syndicates and warlords who will fight to rule the land Corporation: A company or a group of people gathered to make a profit. 1 billion nock start Tech is 100 times the nock cost for everbody but them Cannot own land Must hire workers (or buy sl4ves) Doesn't have a population (so no taxes, drafts, etc...) Communism A form of government against the idea of companies. Tech 30% cheaper 2% pop growth per year Democracy: The system involving the people voting for their government. Rebellions disabled None Democratic Republic 2% rebellion chance Max military 12% Absolute Monarchy: This form of Monarchy is absolute with one person at the head of the nation. Tech 30% cheaper Max military 20% Rebellions have +50% support Constitutional Monarchy: This form of Monarchy is constitutional, the monarch is just a figurehead. Tech 25% cheaper Max military 17.5% Rebellions have +15% support Military Dictatorship A form of government where the military forcibly controls the nation. 25% Max Military Rebellions have +75% support Castancy, A merge of Oligarchy, Democracy, and Monarchy. Max Military 18%, Tech Research is 25% Quicker. 20% Rebellion Chance Benevolent Dictatorship: A unique form of dictatorship in which the said dictator is actually fair and well-liked. Always short lived. 25% Max Military Normal rebellion support chance. No more than 1 can exist at a time. After 5 years becomes a military dictatorship. A state can't be one again for 50 years. Meritocracy: Where people are chosen for power based on their own ability. Tech research is 20% quicker and cheaper8 Starts with population times 300 Nocks National Syndicism: A hyper-authoritarian type of government that oppresses any form of opposition. 30% Max Military Rebellions have +90% support. Oligarchy: The form of government giving power to the select few. Tech 10% cheaper +50k / pop starting nocks Rebellions have +15% support Pirates: The raiding group that is the bane of the sea. Can also be Privateers. Starts with ships and 3 years upkeep Has hidden island ports to go to (i.e. Tortuga) Infighting is common It is hard to pay upkeep (unless you can make trade deals) Rebellion: A group formed to fight against the current government. Determined at the time by admins and players Only can start with support of an outside nation and supplies (most of time) Republic: Similar to a democracy where the people elect officials to vote on their behalf. Has +1% Population growth per year 5% Rebellion Support None Separatists: Similar to a rebellion but they just wish to be Separate from the whole nation, not the new leaders. +50% rebellion support in country Needs more outside support than a basic rebellion Syndicate: An underground criminal organization, can be a crime organization or a black market company. Impossible to totally destroy Starts without land, but many extra assets If it owns land it becomes a Separtist entity, often has diversionary splits in the Syndicate at first. Theocracy: The form of government run by the followers of a deity or the deity themselves. Receives random admin blessings Required to build temples and give sacrifices (or some other form of worship) Theocratic Dictatorship: The form of government run by a tyranic god king 20% Max Military, Low chance of Rebellion Required to build temples and give sacrifices (or some other form of worship)
