SOME NOTES TO READ IN THE COMMENTS AFTER YOU READ THE STORY BELOW :D ————♡———— ✎ story (the part you've all been waiting for) . i present you, hallucinations, a short story <3 ______ ______ ______ Five cold, hard and glowing orbs sat in Rosemary's dry hands. She was cradling them in her palms when the door creaked open. "Is someone there?" The voice was like a soft, singing whisper and Rosemary sat up a little straighter in her seat. A piece of shimmering brown hair fell onto her face, and she blew it out of the way, scared she would miss the entrance of the mysterious person talking to her. However, when she looked again, the door was just creaking open. "Rosemary?" The voice sounded accusing, and Rosemary scowled. "Leo?" The boy was not as much as a stranger to Rosemary, and that surprised her; she could only do so much as a gawk when Leo spoke again. "God! What are you doing here so late?" Rosemary stopped talking. "What are you thinking?" Accused the boy once again. "I'm thinking I should have knocked you out before you figured it was me," confessed the girl and she sighed, shrinking a couple of inches in her seat. "Here's the thing, Leo-" she paused as the boy lashed out on her. "It's almost midnight, Rosemary! You're crazy!" The girl laughed; a barking, snarly laugh that made Leo take a step back. "You shouldn't be talking. Why are you still here?" Leo flushed bright red, his cheeks rosy with color. "I- I-" he stumbled over his words. "It doesn't matter," Rosemary grabbed the boy's arm and pulled him close. "Look at this, Leo-" It had been then when she gasped, dropping all of the orbs and shrieking loudly. She had just noticed that they were standing in pitch black darkness, and that the orbs had stopped glowing. "I don't understand!" Rosemary shrieked. "Where did the light go?" "Are you high?" Asked Leo, squinting his eyes in accusation. "It's the twenty-first century, Rose. Nothing glows except for fireflies!" He bit his nail in frustration. "Never mind, I shouldn't even have- what I mean is- I'm trying to say-" each time, the girl yanked at his sleeve harder and harder until Leo scowled and went on mute. "I swear to god," began Rosemary. "They were just..." she trailed off when she noticed Leo yank away and pick up a fallen orb, even in the darkness. "Hey!" She yelled, trying to take it back with no success, "what are you doing?" "What are you doing?" counterattacked Leo, "these are a part of Mr. Myers' lesson for tomorrow!" "...lesson...?" "Yes, Rosemary. Lesson. It's a form of learning where-" "I know what a lesson is! That thing was just glowing!" "Oh, give me a break," said Leo. "Come on. We need to go before we get caught." Even though the girl had been curious about why as to Leo was here before, she let that thought drop; it did not matter now, and she did not care. All she wanted to know was why it had been glowing beforehand. "Are you coming?" Shouted Leo, who was now leaning on the doorframe. "Come on!" Rosemary took one last look at the orbs that had now been neatly placed on Mr. Myers' table by Leo. Perhaps it had really been glowing, or perhaps it was just a figment of her imagination. But deep down, she knew that it was all really just a hallucination. ————♡———— ✎ credits . writing by me :D ————♡———— ✎ anyways, that's it for today. leave questions + comments below. please keep in mind not to steal my thumbnails, story, ideas, or anything else without asking. even if you give credit, asking is still the best way to go. thank you! :D . see you next time! ————♡———— ┊ ┊ ┊ ┊ ┊ ┊ ˚✩ ⋆。˚ ✩ ┊ ┊ ┊ ┊ ✩ ⋆。˚ ┊ ┊ ┊ ✫♡ ┊ ┊ ✩⋆。˚ ┊ ⊹ ✯⋆。 ✯⋆ ⋆
