Chapter Two I wish I was Quirkless, like my parents. Then I wouldn’t have to wear that stupid support gear in the winter. This is our second semester. I'm still friends with Saiku, but he also spends a lot of time with Arekkusu. I mean, I guess their Quirks are similar, super-strength and super-endurance. They're almost polar opposite otherwise though, Arekkusu’s Quirk is crazy powerful, but he rarely uses it and doesn’t talk about it. Meanwhile Saiku loves his Quirk and uses it for most everything. However, not everyone who are friends are opposites, Jisehe and Denke, the Electromagnetism Sisters, are basically the same person, and their Quirks, Magnification and Electrification, are really similar to. Denke is quite tight with Henjin though, thon has a shapeshifting Quirk. Henjin and Tokageju, though, fight as often as heroes and villains. Tokageju has a tendency to skip school often, her Quirk, teleportation from what I’ve seen, is likely responsible. Tokageju is most often seen with that Broad girl, who’s pretty timid, and has a food related Quirk. She says she prefers to be called Elli, though. She doesn’t like crowds, and neither does Gizosha. He has a mind reading Quirk, and like Kando’s, he can’t turn it off. Kando’s quirk is telepathic too, but instead he can sense people's emotions. He can manipulate them too, but overuse makes him emotionless. He’s friends with Yagido, the prettiest in the class, and she certainly knows it. Ms. Tamakodansei flew in, looking annoyed and tired. “Is everyone here?”, she inquired. Elli timidly raised her hand, “Um, Suzie isn’t here yet”. The air started buzzing in the seat beside her before collapsing in on itself. “Whaddya mean?” Tokageju smirked as the bell rang. “I’m right here”. Ms. Tamakodansei pinched the bridge of her nose, “You’re cutting it too close Tokageju, everyone else has been here for a good 10 minutes”. “Wait, are Pojida and Neppua here yet?” Kenkyuro looked around confused. “I’m right here”, Neppua straightened up in his seat. “And so is Pojida” Neppua gestured to the seat behind him where Pojida was fidgeting with his chord. He looked up, “Huh? What about me?” Kenkyuro looked back at him, “Nothing, sorry.” “Oh” Pojida slumped further into his chair. He doesn’t really have any friends, probably because his Quirk is really dangerous, like mine. It’s called Chainsaws, pretty straightforward, he can turn into chainsaws. Since he’s such a loner, he naturally gravitated towards Neppua, another loner with an insanely powerful Quirk. Neppua’s Quirk is just called Heat, also pretty simple, he can heat up his body. The rumor is he manifested 7 or so years late. I never put faith into rumors, but he hasn’t denied it. “Hey!” Haiyi half-laughed, half-whispered, startling me out of my thoughts, “Keep your hands to yourself!”. That caused me to turn subtly around just in time to see Kyukyu quickly fold his hands in his lap and smirk at my brother, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” “My brother’s sitting right in front of us!” Haiyi hissed. Kyukyu flashed an apologetic smile, “Sorry.” Xiao Kyukyu, the guy who sits next to my brother, he’s usually super serious. His Quirk is weird, it lets him copy a portion of people’s power for years at a time. It also gives him slight boosts all around. He has to touch them first though. I think he’s the reason Haiyi’s been acting weird lately, they always try to outdo each other. Kenkyuro’s the only one in the class left, she just sort of goes with things. Her Quirk is definitely one of the strangest, she can suppress or boost someone's Quirk temporarily. She can give a Quirk to someone else for about 1 ½ days. Her Quirk may sound evil, but she’s quite the standup person. That could be a *because*, not a *despite*, though.
