TURBO MODE REQUIRED! (also please read key controls below) - Move the speed slider to change the simulation speed. - With the slider, you can set it to any integer from -20 to 20. The simulation will run backwards with negative speed values. - If the speed is set to 20, the simulation will automatically set it to 1 when an eclipse begins, making it easy to fast forward to an eclipse. Key Controls: Space: Pauses the simulation. S: Gives you a prompt to set the time value. H: Hyperspeed -- Sets the speed to 50. It will stay at 50 until either a TOTAL solar eclipse begins, or you move the speed slider. L: Slow Motion -- Sets the speed to 0.1. Move the speed slider to exit slow motion. T: Toggles whether the Time variable is shown. X: Toggles Moon Tracing, which shows the path of the moon. Allows you to see the change in the moon's declination.
This is a simulation of a Sun and Moon, with eclipses, that I made. It is mainly focused on the Eclipses, and doesn't have moon phases or dawn/dusk. SEIZURE WARNING: The screen may flash at the beginning and end of eclipses, and hyperspeed WILL cause flashing. Note: The positions of the sun and moon are calculated based on the time value, so you can comment the time of an eclipse below, and everyone else can view that eclipse by setting the time with the 's' key.
