Always leave enough of plants for the population to recover. 2. Never take more than you can use. 3. Minimize any damage to the plant(s) and the environment. 4. Always positively 100% identify what you want to eat. Don't use logic like, "If it's not X and it's not Y, it's Z and I can eat it." The environment you find the plant in can be used. 5. Know what to harvest, when they're edible, and how to use them. 6. Only forage where safe and legal. Don't forage on your mean neighbour's yard without permission or from a field where pesticides and nasty chemicals are used. 7. Remember the purpose is to better connect with and appreciate nature, not take advantage of it.
