- Tentei - Intelligent, Passionate, Eccentric, Curious, overly Straightforward, Knowledgeable, Ambitious, Lively, Lonesome, Erratic If there was one felnine that could ever be so passionate in history they'd risk life and limb for an obscure fact written on a minuscule piece of shrapnel located in the middle of the desert, Tentei was that that felnine. If there was one felnine that was so engrossed in revealing the truth their passion extends beyond the east and west horizon, it would be none other than Tentei. Much of his life was filled with archaeological finds, ancient discoveries, donations to museums, and travels to the most unknown, unseen, and remote locations he'd been allowed. Much to the surprise of no one, they'd been found and caught on territory of foreign kingdoms on more than one occasion and had to be bailed out all those times. Unfortunately, he'd had a rough childhood that contrasts sharply with what he became- born from a family descending from generations of blacksmiths, they'd been violently disapproving of Tentei's restless nature and his curiosity. He was constantly surrounded by a horde of brutish siblings and a pair of unsympathetic parents, always picking on him for being unusually weak and favoring ambition and learning over comfortable complacency. From there he often escaped his family by straying far away from his home as much as possible, and learned the joys of adventuring far from his familiar dwelling. Burdened with an unwanted career as a blacksmith, Tentei was quick to quit his apprenticeship on his first month and run away to be apprenticed to a scholar who immediately saw potential in his intellect and curiosity. His family only found out a year later, and thereafter they became disowned. Not that Tentei was long to grieve. Though it had initially hurt how his family had abandoned him so quickly over careers, he soon realized it was not for nothing. The scholar he was apprenticed to was more than "just a mentor," as they provided a sense of stability and belonging he'd never gotten before. For a long time, Tentei and the scholar went on extraordinary travels (with some being very, very illegal) for the sake of archaeology. They'd wander right into the middle of a desert, far from the reaches of any kingdom, or analyze an ancient document, or get hired for speeches, or ponder for months and months on an inexplicable mystery that befuddled them and the rest of the achaeological community. And that was exactly how Tentei liked it. Truth be told, they wouldn't have had it any other way. Until one year ago, when Tentei's beloved scholar suddenly passed away, leaving him (naturally) devastated. He's become more lonely and erratic ever since, without any sort of personal bond or relationship that extends past a few other historians. Alas, only he can heal himself and come to terms with his grief, and currently, he's choosing not to. Tentei's increasingly buried himself with work and has on many occasions accidentally worked himself to near-death, hoping it'd distract himself from the distressing sentiments that clamor endlessly at his heart. random facts: - so I had his concept for a long time but only now could I write it all down in a bio because the motivation demon possessed me (hence why the story's pacing is odd and janky, I needed to write everything before the motivation left me forever) - he's fluffy - “literally me”
