Chapter 7: The New “Weirdo” Today I walked into school with a big smile, my first one in a long time, looking forward to seeing my new friend, Audie. Until, I saw the frightening sight of bullying. All of my excitement faded away as I watched the horror. “I have never seen anyone being bullied before, but I have felt it.” I whispered to myself. “I have to help her!” I ran over to Audie, when the frightening bullies spotted me. “There comes the pathetic useless ‘auslexic’ girl.” “let me go!” Audie screamed. Two older kids from another grade in their school was hanging her upside-down and hanging on to her ankle! “Let her down right now or I will.” Isabel held up her fists in anger. “Like you can do anything to protect your little friend of yours.” “I can if I want to.” I said in an aggressive voice, my face as red as a tomato, and as angry as I could be. The two boys laughed hysterically. “Yeah right, as-” I instantly charged at them like an angry bull and punched them at the hardest of my ability. To my surprise, I’m pretty strong, well, at least I think I am, because I had enough anger and force in me to knock them over, and free Audie. “GO, RUN!” I shrieked. “IF THEY CATCH US WE’LL BE DEAD MEAT! I grabbed Audie’s arm and escaped the area as fast as I could run. We escaped today, but we might not make it tomorrow. if anything, Audie shouldn’t be the one getting bullied. I should. She is my friend, and I will do whatever I possibly can to keep this friend- because it might not last. Not a lot of friendships lasts forever. So I have to try hard to keep this friend, because for me, it’s very rare to have a friend. Even one. I’m used to zero. But I’m lucky to have this one. I hope it lasts long.
