Welcome to another tutorial. In this one, I'll be showing you how to make vector Scratch things. Use your mouse, arrow keys, and space to move through the slides. On slide 7, it's a speed draw, so just watch through it until it ends. At the end, there's a few samples of what you can do with this technique. Steps I use to do this (if the tutorial doesn't make sense): 1. Upload a screenshot of anything into a Scratch costume. This screenshot is what you'll be turning into a vector item! (If you don't have any screenshots, or can't take one, go into the backdrops of this project. There's a few there.) 2. Look in the bottom left corner. If it says "convert to vector" on a blue button, press it. Otherwise, just skip this step. 3. Now that your image is vector, do the following steps in this order: - Use the dropper tool and select anything on this image to choose that color. - Using the paintbrush tool, trace an outline around this object. - Fill in the object (you may have to move around the layers) - Repeat until you're done! 4. Group the items together (optional, it just makes it easier) and do whatever you want with it! :D I hope you enjoy.
Credits (keep scrolling down for notes): - @Canarysong for the idea to use the glide blocks as transitions - @Zinnea for the great tutorial on making half transparent objects - Scratch for having such awesome things to make vector - I think that's it, but if you find anything else, let me know! Notes: If you need help or any part of the instructions don't make sense, just let me know. You can use the vector art with credit, of course. There are samples of screenshots in the backdrops if you can't take screenshots. Just put them in your backpack and then make them vector. That cat is the April Fool's cat block, in case you're wondering where it came from. I just found it in my screenshots.
