Age 6 - she/her. Has 2 dads, so knows what it means to be gay, but doesn’t think much about crushes herself. Only child, but just started school, so is now around other kids. Met a kid named Jackson in first grade. Asked her dads to cut her hair, so they cut it shoulder-length. Likes going out for ice cream with her parents. Age 8 - she/her, straight. Goes to get ice cream with Jackson to hang out. Hair has grown out a bit, but she changed the style to keep it out of her face. Age 10 - she/her, straight. Girls her age talk a lot about boys, but she doesn’t get it. Has picked up the violin and enjoys playing in her school orchestra. Hates when people ask her if she and Jackson are dating. Age 12 - she/her, straight. Dyes her hair. She lies to her friends and claims to have a crush on a random boy in her class to get them to stop asking. Jackson moves a few towns over, but they hang out outside of school. She meets a girl in school named Alex. Early age 13 - she/her, straight. She asks her dads why she still hasn’t had any crushes, and they assure her it’s okay to not have any. When she asks Alex, they say the same thing. She’s still unsure, though. Late age 13 - she/her, aromantic. She can’t let it go. She asks Alex again if it’s really normal, and Alex tells her of an identity called “aromantic”. Happily identifying as aromantic, she dyes her hair again. When she hangs out with Jackson, she feels oddly excited, but figures it’s because he’s her friend. Early age 15 - she/they, aromantic. Experiments with her gender. Cut her hair short, and dyed it again. They’re confused about why they feel the way they do with Jackson. She notices something is up with Alex, but when she asks, Alex doesn’t tell her. Finds a new term. Late age 15 - they/them, demiromantic. Friends of theirs have started to be in serious relationships and do more with their partners, but they find even the idea of that kind of gross. They found they really like they/them pronouns, and came out to their parents, who accepted them wholeheartedly. Decided maybe they do like Jackson, but don’t tell him out of a fear of rejection. Age 16 - they/she, demiromantic asexual. They decided they never want to take that “next step” with any partner they have, even if that partner is Jackson. They want to tell him, but worry he may not reciprocate their feelings. She feels more feminine than masculine, but still feels relatively neutral. Alex's boyfriend (Jake) informs them that Alex is perfectly fine, though they now live with him. Age 17 - they/she, dempanromantic asexual. They figure they’d like any gender, regardless of any other factor. After all, they like Jackson because of his personality, not because he’s a boy. They finally tell him how they feel, and he accepts. They begin dating. ~~~~~ This is my first time making one of these! It looked pretty fun, so I wanted to try it out :D I might add Picrews of the other characters mentioned, I know other people do that, but I only have these images for now. The characters are taken from a story I wanted to write but lost motivation to do so. I hope this makes up for it a little bit. I find these bite-sized little stories fun to write, fun to read, and way too addicting! Picrew used: https://picrew.me/en/image_maker/1092974 Other stories! Alex:
