Earth Hour is a reminder that even small actions can make a big difference and that we all have the ability to contribute. Since 2007, Earth Hour has been known for the “lights off” moment, with individuals from around the globe switching off their lights to show symbolic support for the planet and to raise awareness of the environmental issues affecting it. This year, Earth Hour is stepping things up and creating the Biggest Hour for Earth. It is a call to action for people across the globe to switch off their lights and give an hour for Earth, spending 60 minutes doing something - anything - positive for our planet. Why is it important? The science is clear. The next 7 years are crucial to all our futures and in determining the health of our planet. We are dangerously close to an irreversible state of environmental degradation and runaway climate change and the time to act is fast running out. We are the first generation to have the solutions we need to reverse nature loss and limit climate change and the last one who can act before it's too late. We must all play our part to help drive the change we need. When is Earth Hour? March 25, 2023 from 8.30pm - 9:30pm (in your own time zone) - an invitation to everyone to join for 60 minutes and give an hour for Earth. How can I get involved?
