I am SICK AND TIRED of people hating on Turning Red because it feels awkward. IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE AWKWARD! Growing up is awkward, that’s just a fact of life. And Turning Red portrays it in one of the most accurate ways I’ve seen so far, which is clearly what it was going for. So stop acting like it’s a bad movie for being awkward, when being awkward was exactly what the movie was trying to do.
