Myrtle'kit had his eyes set on his Thunder'clans mother's light fur. Her whisper carried to his ears softly by the light wind the night had brought. "I am sorry my love," She said. "I have always loved you, and I will forever..." He watches her with his head tilted in curiosity. His mother leans down and brushes his face with hers. Wet streaks are on her cheeks as she hurriedly says goodbye. Myrtle'kit thinks back over the day. He stepped out of his frosty nest and beside him his mother rose. She had a small smile placed at her lips as she looks at the rising sun. "Moon'kit says she is going to teach me how to play moss ball!!" Myrtle'kit screams gleefully, watching his mothers face. His mother frowns. "You are to young for such games." Myrtle'kit looks heart broken. His mother sighs. "Alright, but be careful." Myrtle'kit gasps and laughs then runs out of the Thunder'clan nursery to play with his friend. Myrtle'kit snaps back into reality. His mom has a fierce grip on his back as she lifts him. She runs quickly through the forest her eyes bent. A she-cat appears as they near the border. She looks hostile and cold. Myrtle'kit leans into his mothers fur and whimpers in fear. His mother stops and places him in front of the she-cat. "You will feed him?" She says. The Wind'clan warrior nods. "But only that.." Myrtle'kit watches his mother flinch. He notes with a firm grip on reality that this she-cat is much taller and thin then his mother- this cat looks more like him. The she-cat leans down and grasps Myrtle'kit. "Goodbye my breath taker." His mother called. His mother called him her breath taker because of his vibrantly pale eye, that she thought was shockingly beautiful. "Stop it! Don't take me from mama!" He screams as she runs over the moor, him in her mouth and his mother at the border, watching them go in the early moonlight. "Please don't take me!" He screams again. The she-cat drops him and glares down at him. "If you want to stay alive shut up and act like your hurt." She snarls. He whimpers and doesn't do as she asked. She slashes his hind leg and he screams in pain. She smiles. "There, now when the medicine cat asks you, say you were injured by a fox- you got that?" Myrtle'kit shivers inwardly and nods. "Good." Then they were off. Myrtle'melody belongs to @RainingRpNoodles All other characters were made up for the sake of this project. Art featured in this project is by
