———FOREWORD Man. It’s been quite a journey, hasn’t it? I’ve made a lot of memories on this account. I think it’s safe to say that this AMV is a collection of some major ones. In addition to memories, I’ve also made many friends. Shout out to you all. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate what you all have did to make me a better person. I feel like I’m more different and mature than when I first started Scratch back just before 6th grade. Yet I still feel like I need to change more, and I’m not satisfied with myself, so I’m moving accounts to get a fresh start. I need a clearer space, a new OC, more (if not something else) to stand for. The link to my new account will be posted tomorrow, April 1st. (I specifically selected April 1st for a reason even I don’t know) This new account will be the perfect opportunity to have a fresh start. Thanks for everything guys. Wish me luck. ———ABOUT THIS ANIMATION This animation was started on Monday, March 27th. It took a pretty long time to animate, about five days. 100+ costumes. And I worked on nothing Scratch-related but this. This is undoubtedly my longest animation yet. Longer than “Battle Mode,” longer than the MKWU trailer, longer than the P:O Chapter 10 trailer, everything. However, I didn’t kill my sanity trying to make it; you can see some flaws and a lack of color in some of the scenes. I still worked hard on it though. Hopefully, better animations will come in the future. The animation is really a tribute to all the memories I’ve had of Scratch. It goes in chronological order. Also, the reason I picked the song was because I heart it in Slap Battles and it was a bop :P (The song has a one use of the d-word but that’s it, don’t take this down Scratch team or I’ll cry ;/ it took almost a week) The chorus of the song is basically present day, with me looking at myself and my life and contemplating a huge change. I can’t wait to do just that. Thank you for taking your time to watch the animation and read the description. Now go home ———THE PROCESS OF MAKING IT This wasn’t supposed to exist. I had gotten this idea back on Tuesday, the 21st. I had just finished a Sprite, which naturally leads me to think untold thoughts, and of course I decided to make an AMV before I left. It was originally going to be Sunflower (the one from Spider-Verse), but that was scrapped. Next I wanted to do Lift Me Up, but that was also cancelled. Then I thought to do Levitating, which was also a hard no. Finally I decided on Touch-Tone Telephone after searching up Slap Battles megarock soundtracks. Funnily enough, the OC ref project I shared ended up being pretty useful. I never expected to be making the animation. I used the colors for Nova in this project. It takes a while to get everything right, to be honest. I have to draw, duplicate, erase, color and etc. It’s weird. ———THE ABRUPT ENDING The animation was originally going to go through with the entire song, carrying on to the part from my Scratch life in seventh grade onward, but my deadline came too fast. I’m surprised it took me this long for a hundred-costume animation (unless you count trying to sync it with the music, I cut the music into pieces, you can see the remnants of them if you look in the project files). I made “POV: March 10th” in an hour and a half, and it’s about 50 costumes or so I’d say, so how did it take me a week for something twice as many costumes? Do the math. Three hours. However, I might do a part 2 later, on my new account maybe. I doubt it, but it would be fun to make. ———FINAL WORDS Guys, thank you so much for making Scratch a great place for me to spend time. I’ve learned so much and grew into a better person thanks to you guys.
