Hey y'all, sorry it took me so GOSH DARN long to write this review, I had a hard time getting around to it just because of self-motivation and other stuff.(my profile is probably gonna end up doomed, and I'll cover that soon :/) ANYway, hope y'all enjoy!
~ R E V I E W ~ so, A New Hope is an absolute classic. It establishes a Universe(and maybe even a potential multiverse now?) that's pretty dang intricate for a first movie. Interestingly, Episode IV was originally called "Star Wars" and the whole "A New Hope" part was added in a little while later. - A Quick Synopsis of the Story: Episode 4 starts off with a Rebellion Cruise ship being shot at and boarded by an Imperial Star Destroyer. The Rebellion was led by a smart bunch of individuals who all had at least one thing in common: they wanted to be free from Emperor Palpatine's cruel reign. So they gather the plans for his weapon the DEATH STAR and blow it up and a lot of stuff happens in between. ~My thoughts~ So, I think this might be my 4th favorite one out of all of them, ironically enough. It's got style, it's got class, it's really funny at times, and was cast EXTREMELY well. The best part about A New Hope is probably the dynamic between Luke and Obi-Wan(RIP Alec Guiness). They have such a nice bond, and the way that he helps Luke launch the torpedo by simply letting go of his feelings and trusting in the Force is just so well done. Props to George Lucas to hitting me in the feels when he died(when I first saw it the very very first time a decade ago that is, the fact that he literally is in the 2nd of the trilogy is cool but still). Honestly there's not much necessarily *wrong* with A New Hope other than the fact that it's just kind of dated with some of the effects. The fact that I can tell at times where stuff was SO practical is just off-putting. I think that's the only thing keeping it from being higher on my list. ~End~ So, that's it; I hope to have the Empire review out by next week(around April 5th at the latest). See y'all then! ~ Darth Vader is my favorite Sith Lord; Darth Maul and the rest can go die on Hoth ~
