For the full spinning illusion, try looking at this from different angles or focusing on the movement. This project was mostly made to test out the 3d spinning illusion in scratch. You can recreate this illusion yourself in any project. Just slowly change the size of a sprite to the left or right, a little bit at a time, and make sure to overlap it, and circle it back into a loop. This can be down with any sprite, and will create this 3d illusion.
