Butterflies are the Zelo’s (an organisation that basically rules Ry’s dimension) symbol. The Zelo know of Ry’s ability to shift between the Zelo’s world and different dimensions. They want this power to capture more dimensions (Ry’s is their 13th) Ry is wanted and has a large bounty on him. The mountains are where he lives and hunts the hundreds of butterflies there away from other cats. His parents were captured by the Zelo in hope he would turn himself in. Ry never really thought about the consequences of his ability. He gained this ability through a forbidden ritual in the Bilku Mountains, the location of his only teammates. The dragons that live there, they are angry at the Zelo for taking over their rightful home. And support Ry at all costs….
