You probably won’t see many of these as I try to keep my profile happy and cheerful, but this week life has really got to me. As many of you know, I identify as nonbinary, meaning my pronouns are they/them. And I use the name Sammy or Sam. My friends, @Loreleis_Art and two others who I will refer to as Abby and Kiki, don’t seem to respect that. Kiki is a bit homophobic/transphobic even though she’s an ally. Originally when I came out to them, back in January, Kiki laughed and told me that I was silly because I’m obviously a girl. The others stayed quiet. My friends keep using my brith name and she/her pronouns for me, even though I’ve told them several times that I’m not a girl. Yesterday really made it worse, I was on a slide deck that me and Kody use to talk during school. Abby is also part of this slide, we all have offices on the slide, where we chat. At the top mine says Sammy’s office. @Loreleis_Art looked at it, and asked me who Sammy was (I’ve told them all that my name is Sammy/Sam) I told her it was me. And she said that’s stupid because my name is (my brith name), I told her that I use the name Sam now, and she told me that wasn’t true, and then acted like the victim, even though she was very transphobic to me. I’m not talking to them until they can start using my pronouns and name correctly.
