When Debbie had finished falling she had landed on her face on a rocky floor. She tried to stand up but she was still too weak. She started to panic. “It's getting really hot. My clothes are starting to stick to me. I can barely breathe!” She lifted her head to see large gelatinous tentacles with circular eggs on them surrounded by a thick blue fog. THE HIVE Debbie retched at the sight of them. “That's disgusting!" She said. The tentacles seemed to squirmed around, popping their eggs open. The eggs burst open and hatched out hundreds of small creatures. The creatures were all different bizzare shapes and sizes. A couple of them even looked like the thing that attacked her. “Oh god help me!” Debbie cried. She tried to stand up, this time succeeding. Using all her strength, she ran as far as she could from the newborn monsters. When there were no monsters in sight she stopped running and collapsed to the ground once again. “I must be dreaming. This can't be real. I just want to wake up!” She said to herself. She took deep breaths and tried to calm herself. It was hard to believe that she was actually experiencing this. There was no doubt that she was having a nightmare, right? But why was she dreaming about this? “There has to be some sort of explanation." She said. Suddenly she sensed something behind her. She turned around to see a creature coming for her. This one looked like a giant moth with a skull marking on it’s back. It made a sound that sounded like a large dog barking. “Stay back! Stay away from me! Don't touch me!” She yelled. The creature circled around her. Its wings moved so fast they appeared to be frozen in midair. Then it landed on her hand and began to suck the blood out of it. “Oh god no! Please don't eat me!" “Wait! Wait! I'm not food! I'M NOT FOOD!” She yelled. “Think Debbie, think…. What do you always do to Wally when he bites you to calm him down?” She said to herself. “Pin him down and pet him! That's it!" With her last bit of strength, she managed to pin down the creature and patted its head. Slowly but surely the creature stopped sucking her blood and it got off her. “Thank god!” She said. The creature began to jump around. “Did you learn your lesson or should I smack you upside the head?" The creature cocked it's head sideways. Then it bowed down to her, exposing it's stomach. “Yeah that’s right I’M the alpha In this pack” she said to the creature. She gently grabbed the creature and pulled it close to her. She rubbed the creature's stomach and it purred. She thought she had heard a voice but she wasn't sure. She bent over and placed it on her shoulder. “I’m going to call you Wally 2” she said to it. Wally 2 began to flap his wings excitedly. “Let's go! No time to waste. We've got to get the hell out of here!” Debbie said to Wally 2
