Mahonai Human Artifacts #42 "This silver sword is called 'Ombre' Meaning 'Shadow' in the Human Language. Also known as 'The Reaper's Blade'. A sword made of silver, kept ever-polished like a mirror. Because it is made of reflective silver, it can trap ghosts inside of it, which our priestesses soon exercised when it arrived. According to an anecdote, it was forged by a priestess of Sepultura called Crocell, originally the daughter of a blacksmith who had been ordained. She gave this blade to a young man called Arian Silevera, who was originally a temple orphan. He grew to be a wheat harvester on a local farm on the moors beyond Sepultura hence the name "The Reaper's Blade". Arian set out with the sword with him after leaving the farm. Every night he went to the burial mounds and the ash-places, where the ashes of the dead are scattered [See notes on unusual human death rituals]. He had one purpose hunt and trap the spirits of the dead within the silver blade. The old man whom I had bought the sword from said 'An old legend says that one day, beautiful Crocell was k!lled by a dragon that she had attempted to slay with her iron sword. Her spirit began to wander but was eventually found by the lad Arian. Arian swung the silver blade through the ghost's chest, taking her inside the mirror. Looking into the blade's reflection, he saw Crocell's face look back at him. In shock and grief, he gave Ombre to Lord Aslan Matatabi as a gift and soon passed away from heartbreak. Feeling the guilt from hunting the ghosts, Arian Silevera now walks among the spirits themselves, a traitor to his original cause'. Further research is being done on the supernatural knowledge that humans may possess by my colleagues in this field."
