✾Downstream✾ backstory: Downstream has lived her life as a voyager, often leaving home to explore other places. She currently resides in a grotto located under a large mass of water. The cavern she calls home has oxygen in it, making it suitable for her, seeing as she cannot breathe water. She was scrutinized by her family and denmates for this fault, and has always been insecure about her lack of gills. By covering the empty space up and leaving home, she is recovering her self esteem and outlook on life. She has become aquainteced with the local aquatic life, particularly taking a liking to the mischievous sea otters. They bring her gifts from above the water in return for stories about her journies, hence the roses and stuffed toy. As she is adapting to her surroundings and new friends, she plans on seeing more of the world and what it has to offer.
