(Some info is outdated and/or no longer relevant) TL;DR: I'm getting bored of Scratch and I want to move on to different things. Hi everyone, gusfen here. I wanted to make this project to let you all know that I’m leaving Scratch. It seems weird for me to leave abruptly, but I have some good reasons as to why I’m leaving now. 1: Scratch is getting boring for me I’ve been on Scratch for seven years, which I consider to be very long. I’ve started to not enjoy making Scratch projects as much in the last few months. I’ve also been less active on Scratch in general, which you might have noticed. 2: I have too much to work on I have over 100 unshared projects, most of which I haven’t worked on for months. It would take me a very long time to finish all of them, probably even just the ones I still work on. I feel like I have too much unfinished projects and I don’t feel like working on them. You might have noticed that this year has been almost entirely dedicated to Cubey Contest things because I’m demotivated to work on other projects. Speaking of Cubey Contest, yes, it’s cancelled. The show was honestly the best thing I did on Scratch and a great way of having fun with all the characters in my projects. I didn’t want to cancel it, but considering I want to leave Scratch and I don’t want to continue the show somewhere else, I cancelled it anyway. I’m sure I’ll get used to not working on Cubey Contest and instead working on new things, which brings me to my third reason. 3: I’ve been enjoying other things In the coming months, I want to focus more on making art and animations to post elsewhere on the internet. I recently started making art with FireAlpaca and I’m enjoying it a lot, partially because it doesn’t require hard thinking, unlike coding. Speaking of coding, I won’t stop doing it completely. I also recently started using the coding language Python more often and it’s going well. It’s definitely more advanced than Scratch coding. Other Information Lastly, I don’t want to talk about my Scratch account and its projects anywhere else on the internet and vice versa. My future content might be for older and more mature people, so it would be best to keep it separate from here. This is all I wanted to say about leaving Scratch. It was a hard decision for me to make, but I decided it’s time to leave. I think it’s a good idea for me to move on to more advanced things and I hope they’re better than what I made here! I’d like to thank all of you for viewing my projects and giving me the attention I deserved for all my work over the years. Goodbye! BEEYOO-
