Update: They were accepted as Shadowclan’s deputy! —— Hopefully these colors are realistic enough. Let me know if I should change them at all :’) —— Do note that everything written here is just stuff I came up with off the top of my head. I have not researched disabilities to a huge extent, so I do apologize if I say anything wrong here. If you have any suggestions or corrections to make, please let me know :) —— Quill is welcome to change any of this, these ideas here and below are only suggestions and ideas I came up with while drawing them :) —— The name idea I came up with was Caimanfur, but feel free to change that. The only thing I’d request is that their name doesn’t have anything to do with their missing leg, since I don’t want them to be one of those tropes where their entire personality is defined by their disability. They/them pronouns. A good classic. They’re lesbian (attracted to she-cats and non-binary cats (they-cats(??)) and polyamorous. Poly in the way of fine with being in a group relationship OR in (agreed upon and talked about) multiple relationships at once. No pressure to put them in any relationship tho :) Tips for coloring: I’d recommend starting with the medium red as a base color, followed by the dark red, lighter red, and then white. This should cause the least amount of having to switch back to previous colors to get the design right :) Design notes: - They have extra long fangs that stick out of their mouth at most times. Fangs are not pure white, and are instead the same color as the gator tooth in their ear. Claws would also be this color. - They are missing a leg, as I’m sure you’ve noticed by now. They have a prosthetic made from a few branches and some vines wrapped around to keep it in place. Likely sap as well for extra adhesive. They don’t need the prosthetic to get around, but it makes long distance travel (like to gatherings or to different clans) easier. The sticks and vines in the prosthetic are replaced every week or so, as to keep the branches fresh and springy for easier movement. They don’t usually wear their prosthetic when just around camp, and they always take it off to sleep. - They are about 12 inches tall - I noticed a few SoaS characters have accessories in the refs, and I thought that was cool, so they have a gator tooth earring. Quite fashionable. I think I drew the tooth a little too small to be realistic of a full grown alligator, so perhaps it’s just a baby tooth. - Oh dear that is a lot of fur. I imagine they may get overheated in the sun. - Other than scars and accessories, their design is symmetrical. I drew them with Shadowclan in mind (with the height being 12 inches and the gator tooth), but I suppose either clan could work. If you do choose them, I would have a slight preference for them to be a deputy as opposed to med cat, since Warriors has a long and not great history of making pretty much all disabled characters either med cats or dead :’) So it would be kinda cool to see them in a position of power for a change of pace! —— ^^’
