Welcome to Westopoly! The West against the Rest! (or Why the West won) Reading the instructions helps you learn about this game, so please do read them before you click that green flag! Table of contents: -How to play- -Rules- --------------------------------------------- -Other things to note- -Why I made this- ~Playing a game is easy if you know how to play!~ - You can choose who goes first, just click on it! The West will be red and the Rest will be blue. - Everyone starts with $1000. - Click roll to move. - If you land on a blue or red square, you'll pick up a card. - If you land on the safe square, you will get $100. - If you land on the railroad, you'll lose some money. - Once you finish your turn, it's the other opponent's turn! - Goal: Don't be the first to become bankrupt! ~Rules are simple so you can follow them!~ - Remember, red is the West and blue is the Rest. - If you are the West and land on a BLUE square, taxes will increase by 15% (MAX 75%) for the Rest. - If you are the Rest and land on a BLUE square, you will get $200, but you have to pay taxes to the West too. - Landing on your own square gets you $200! Keep in mind that you have to pay taxes on both sides! ($75 tax for West) - If you win/lose money, the other team will lose/win the money. The only time the other team does lose/win is if you win/lose $200. - If your character gets out of angle, click on it! Keep clicking until it is on the right angle to move correctly. (Note however, if your character is on a corner, it is already at the correct angle.) - If your character gets out of a square, press SPACE. It will reset the positions for BOTH of the characters. - Once one team gets bankrupt (their money is at or lower than 0) the other team wins. You can play again if you please. ~Other things to note~ This game was made for a history project on "Why the West won". (History, not English. Sorry if I have some grammatical errors) I had two weeks to make this, so sorry if there are still flaws. I know it doesn't look pretty, remix it if you want to make it look better. As you can see, I have been very inactive because of school and life in general. This is my first game of this year so it may not be as fun as some others that I've made. I am always open to suggestions, but I do not like criticism (or judgement). Thank you so much! ~Why I made this~ This was a project for history. I could do almost anything I wanted to show why the west won, so I chose an online game. I had a couple of friends doing some other games, but I wanted my project to be different from others. In the end, I chose scratch since I haven't been on it in awhile and wanted to have a reason to get back on. I thought Monopoly was a good idea since it is about money (finance/business) and money impacted a lot on helping the West win. This isn't EXACTLY like Monopoly, but I tried to get it somewhat close to it without copying it. I hope you enjoy[ed] this game and thank you so much for playing it!
