if you dont know what it says it says : Debi Pettis was a junior in high school when she was hospitalized for texting and driving. She was stuck in her car for almost an hour before they found her. When found she had a weak pulse and collapsed lung, her legs had multiple breaks and she had a 4-inch gash across her right cheek. This was the cause of “Trunk it and leave it” a program to stop texting and driving. “I don't remember everything about the accident. I remember looking up from my phone, and then the tree was right there. Then, I remember the firefighters calling me and telling me that they would get me out. I couldn't move at all.” Pettis said. Debi Pettis had to go through three surgeries to repair her legs and lung. Pettis was allowed to go home; she returned to school in late November. “ I promised myself that if I survived that I would do something so others could learn from my mistake. I don't want anyone to have to go through what I did. Pettis recalled.
