Use the arrow keys to move the square. If you would rather use WASD, just go into the code and I will have you covered in the main loop. Scroll down to see what you can do other than running and jumping. This is my best working platformer engine yet. I made a couple of these a few years ago, but to be honest, they were all absolutely awful. And there are still a boatload of problems with this one, but it is a HUGE improvement in my opinion, and you can definitely make a great game off of this. Features: - Easy to change controls - Easy to style and design - Seemingly realistic physics - Double jumps, wall jumps, and wall sliding - Going up slopes - Slides smoothly down pixelated walls - A moving platform that can both moves the player and crush it against the non-moving platforms Disadvantages that I may fix in a later version: - Not backpackable - No variables to tweak the movement constants - Can't make the level scroll, otherwise the physics kind of breaks for whatever reason - Player may phase through walls if going too fast - The slope and moving platform physics can be more realistic - Difficult to change the way the moving platform moves - No support for multiple moving platforms (you can make multiple shapes in the sprite editor, but they will just move the same direction)
All of the scripts are written by me. As well as the art, if you see 6 pink shapes as art. Be sure to give me credit if you remix this project or save any scripts to your backpack/device storage.
