update: i did some more (which are better) but never got around to putting them in this project i might make an art dump thing in the future with all of this though, so yeah now, i feel like this needs some context. I normally do really cartoony artwork, with 100% block shading and yeah. I have basically no experience when it comes to realism of any kind. This started off as a mistake. I was drawing a regular cartoon character (the side profile on the left, #1) then decided to shade it to get a better idea about face structure and whatnot. It ended up being an absolute disaster. The original sketch itself was badly proportioned and everything, and the shading isn't good either. I decided to try again, resulting in the frontal view of a face of the same character (#2). It turned out better than #1 since I had at least some idea of what I was doing, and I kind of like how that one turned out (though it could be better). I might attempt semi-realism again and add future images to this project. Maybe with another, better side profile or less generic character. I also don't know if this would actually constitute semi-realism, as it's really stylized (especially the mouth and hair). You can also press space to switch between individual images of the two drawings. I don't know what reason I had to add this feature, but it's there. And once again Scratch succeeded in annihilating the image quality. Anyway, thanks for reading my rant.
