Recently I've started up the Continue Comic I was doing again, and the two of my characters in that CC, Alex and Abigail, have no relation to one another. They're different races (Abigail is a demon, although her profession is demon hunter so she's of good alignment, and Alex is human, but he has a few abilities). They have no connection at all (other than being OCs that have solid lore/that I can recall from memory), but I noticed that the other person who's basically doing a back-and-forth with me via this CC drew Abigail with pointed ears, even though she doesn't have any. For context, Alex has pointed ears and is a beacon of attention for lots of demons, especially for one specific ability he has. There's one demon in particular that can influence/possess him, and his eyes have red glints in them when this said demon speaks to him telepathically (trying to get him to do what they want). And Abigail in the comic had similar-looking glints in her eyes because she, well, was a demon. Not to mention it was sorta just a reflection of the cut she got but e h- Abigail also, (In the CC) stole a secret document for a mysterious entity, and that mysterious entity has the /possibility/ to be the same demon/entity messing with Alex. It is not, since Abigail and Alex never canonically cross paths, but one might take it that way. I'm not trying to tell anyone off. I actually like where this Continue Comic is going, and I don't wanna change it in any way, I'm just putting all this in for context- ANYWAYS. The idea, the possibility of Abigail and Alex being related in a way, possibly being of the same race, and that causing them to be forced into interacting with the same entity, gave me an idea. No, I'm not gonna make Abigail like Alex or vice versa, but it does give me an idea for Alex's lore. What if Alex was a mix of human and some other race? Since Alex has never met his father, and he's the only one the way he is in his family, what if his father was of this other race that gets hunted by demons because of their abilities? And what if the reason Alex has these powers is that he inherited some of whatever makes this other race's powers work from his father?? THAT WOULD BE PRETTY COOL. ... I'm gonna stop blabbing and get to the point- Does anyone want me to make this a kind of species that other people could use and make OCs for??? Idk what that sort of thing is exactly called, but it might be interesting. I dunno just yet.
