╰⇢ hey it's olivia ♡ ◦ today is a continuation of yesterday's project which is creating characters for your story! i believe characters are the most important part of your story so that's why were starting with them instead of the actual plot lol but we will get to that later on <33 ♛ personality ✿ ◦ now that we have the internal conflict we need to decide how that reflects on their personality. remember, everything affects a person's personality - their family, neighborhood, friends, school, and media - so pay attention to that. if they're growing up in the rather dodgy part of town and there's a lot of crime then the character will naturally be tougher. as i said in my last project, put yourself in your character's shoes and take the mbti or enneagram quiz. this will reveal a lot and will make it easier when writing because you can see how they would react to certain things. ♛ physical appearance ✿ ◦ as always make sure it MAKES SENSE!! if they are growing up with rich parents and go to a posh school, then they will probably be more neat and have elegant clothes and hairstyles. think of their hair colour, eye colour, skin tone, clothes that would typically wear and how they style their hair. do they wear glasses? ear piercings? tatoos? are they tall or short, skinny or plump, good-looking or not, and are they comftorable with their appearance? is that a big insecurity of theirs? ♛ habits, hobbies, and voices ✿ ◦ a few things you should think about are: ◦ what do they do when they're lying? ◦ do they use hand gestures a lot? ◦ nervous habits? ◦ what are their hobbies? ◦ outgoing or shy? ◦ nationality? ◦ age ◦ what's their voice like? ✄ notes ✧ ◦ this stuff is what makes your character unique, this is what makes us CARE about them. i would recommend writing little character profiles in a separate notebook and try to make them as different as possible ◦ hope this helps, bye!!
