Slide Contents: The words الرَّحْمَانُ and ٱلْرَّحِيْمُ come from the root word ر-ح-م which means to show compassion. The word الرَّحْمَانُ can mean The all compassionate, Merciful, The Benefecient and/or the most gracious. ٱلْرَّحِيْمُ on the other hand means the most merciful الرَّحْمَانُ is mentioned 159 times in the Quran, starting every Surah except Surah Al-Tawbah. ٱلْرَّحِيْمُ is mentioned 146 times , starting every Surah except for Surah Al-Tawbah as well. As it is one of the most common names of Allah is mostly used when someone wants to have Allah show mercy on them. الرَّحْمَانُ also can be used as a substitute for ٱلْرَّحِيْمُ which means the most merciful. That name is also used to ask for Allah's mercy.
