So yk when people post a project, video etc. about hate comments or comments in general, they usually block out the username? Or say ‘I’m not going to say who it is, they know who they are’ Why are you protecting them?? They made their bed so let them sleep in it. In other words, they did that to themselves. When you post something on the internet, you should know that people can do ANYTHING they want with that, screenshot it, forward it, report it, make a project about it, anything at all. By putting something on the internet you are basically handing that over to hundreds or even thousands of strangers. Then if someone reacts to it, you can’t just ask for it back. When people post hurtful stuff online they usually do it because they know that no-one recognises them. They’re anonymous. ‘You don’t know me’. But there’s a person behind every screen, remember that. And when you’re blurring out the username, you’re making it easy for them. You’re doing them a favour. Why are you doing that? They don’t deserve it. Think before you speak irl AND online. ESPECIALLY online. Follow the t-shirt rule - don’t post something online that you wouldn’t wear on a t-shirt. I know it sounds cringy but it works. Thank you for coming to my ted talk lol <33
