To show that I'm really working on the Chihuahua God Boss Fight, I've decided to release a preview of Ross's first nonspell, along with the game's shot type and nonspell background! Many parts of the game are still subject to change, so this is a "work-in-progress" preview rather than a demo In this nonspell, Ross will shoot a flower-shaped scale danmaku shape that starts out fast, but leaves slower bullets. Then, Ross will dash around shooting walls of amulet bullets, and once the player is trapped, he sends out a flurry of lasers from his demon chihuahuas! A brutal combo! I've spent quite a bit of time adjusting the backgrounds for all the nonspells/spells (hidden in this preview), the player shot types, the bombs, almost everything needed for the game. Now all I need to do is create all the attacks, a dialogue system, a timer, a "viewing mode", and many other additions I can think of along the way. Despite this only being the first nonspell, this is one of my favorite attack ideas I have planned for the fight! However, there are WAY flashier attacks coming soon. I also plan to have the game packaged into an HTML file available for download shortly after the release of the game! That way, you can play the boss fight offline. Hooray!
