(sorry kinda short) The chapter is below! ︶︶༉‧₊˚.༉‧₊˚.︶︶༉‧₊˚.︶︶༉‧₊˚.︶︶༉‧₊˚.︶︶༉‧₊˚.︶︶༉₊˚︶ I sit in solitude for at least 5 minutes, waiting to see what the big deal is. After what seems like ages, Dr. Robspin and Finn return to the room, their faces painted with curiosity and concern. “Ms. Autumn,” Dr. Robspin says softly, “are your parents by any chance, beares of magic?” He takes a step closer and adjusts his glasses, his grey eyes study me. “Umm,” I hesitate, “I don’t really talk about this, but I don’t know who my parents are. I live with my grandparents.” My mind wanders to my grandparents, they must be worried, I’ve been gone too long. “I see,” he taps his finger to his chin, “well you might as well hear the truth now. There is no point in keeping it from you.” “What truth? What are you talking about?” I must have subconsciously raised my voice because both Finn and Dr. Robspin look startled. “My dear child,” he replies, “you’re blood test was positive for magic.” He shakes his head. “What?” I ask. “How? I failed the tests.” Finn speaks up, “sometimes, on certain occasions, people are, let's say late bloomers.” I nervously fidget with my bracelet as he tells me this, his eyes study me then trail down to my wrist, he steps forward. Finn grabs my wrist and examines the bracelet closely, then looks back at me, “Where did you get this” he asks. “Uh, it's from my mom,” I reply, “it’s kind of the only thing she left for me.” “Take it off.” “What? I’m not supposed to take it off.” “Why,” Finn questions, curiosity floods through his face. “Because, I was told to never take it off, ever.” I say. Finn flashes a concerned look to Dr. Robspin, “Autumn, I need you to take that bracelet off.” Finn lets go of my wrist but keeps steady eye contact, “that stone, they’re extremely rare, when worn, they block any magic at all.” “So thats why-” ”You failed the tests before,” he intervenes, “we need to retest you, without the bracelet.” I nodded as Dr. Robspin takes the bracelet, then Finn escorts me down the hall into a large room, filled with all the equipment from testing day. With his hand on my back, Finn leads me to a chair, “Wait here, I'll be right back.”
