scratch.mit.edu//heather'sblog//thingsilearnedafterdoingtaekwondo// .com Weekly Blog + Things I learned after joining taekwondo training <3 ✎ hey hey hey it's Heather™ ╰┈➤▓* ˚ ✦ Today, we'll talk abt things I learned after I started learning Taekwondo <3 first of all, ik what your thinking "she's a tomboy irl :00" well, no- I'm the girliest person in the world ask my mom. I won't let anybody see my face without curled hair or lip gloss :P anyway lez goooo -when you shout it's "ack" lol, when I was young I thought it was heeya like the one in kung fu panda and the movies I watch. But it's actually ack. Ik ik it sounds weird but try it.try shouting ack rlly loud *w/o your mom listening loll* and you'll see it sounds more proper than heeya lmboooooo - DON'T take pity on ANY of your classmates once my 8 year old classmate said "Heather, I can't feel my feet anymore" I take pity on ppl very easy but my coach approached us and said "not her problem now get up. The pain is inside the head. You can't actually feel the pain." that was very wise tho B^ - The pain is temporary When I first started I got severe body pains right after every training. But as my body got used to it (I do training every sat and sun) I don't feel pain anymore - You have to be flexible ppl think that you don't need to be flexible to be good at taekwondo. ppl think flexibility is only in gymnastics and ballet. It's not. Flexibility is actually one of the most important traits of a black belter. You need to be able to split alllllllllllll the way (mainly bc some kicks like side kick need to be high), need to kick above your head and jump fast without slipping or falling. It's rly a risk bc you can get rlly hurt if your not flexible. But as my coach and the other black belt ppl (what do you call them-) the pain is in your brain. Your actually not feeling it. Your brain is just making it seem hard. It's actually not. Which is true bc I thought everything was hard. Then the coaches found out I was extremely flexible and I could do most of the kicks easily. ʕ´•ᴥ•`ʔ ᶠᵘⁿ ᶠᵃᶜᵗ: They say that the side kick is on of the hardest kicks in the lower level. But it's actually the easiest for me. The in-out kick is the hardest for me bc I'm getting it confused with the out-in kick ToT Stay tuned for my next Weekly blog "how to be a cool kid or, more attractive B^" *°:⋆ₓₒ Heather out! ゚+..。*゚+
