Madeleine Corstolla-Klein I was in a forest. The same one I had always gone to in my dreams. Or really nightmares. The forest always had a thick blanket of fog, concealing the undergrowth. The trees towered about fifty feet, and were almost completely covered in moss, making no clear way towards an exit. I was barefoot, with Ethan's army green hoodie on, and a pair of khaki shorts. I felt a slight heat coming from behind me, and I turned around to see a fire. A forest fire, engulfing everything it touched. I ran, and ran, but something about this place was unsettling. I stopped to catch my breath, turning around again to see the fire in the same place, but closer. I was going nowhere. I heard a wail that sounded like it came from ahead of me, and I followed it, this time I was going somewhere. It was getting louder the closer I got, like whatever or whoever it came from was in distress. I walked up to a curtain of vines, cherry blossoms blooming all over it. I walked through the curtain. I saw a creature. It stood about as tall as three of me. It had gills on both sides of its face. Four mouths replaced four eyes. Its ribs were clear as day. It had a long scaly tail. Its claws were dripping with blood. It's gaze swept over me. It lunged. I cried out. But no one heard.
