She added a warm-toned filter and posted it on her Instagram story. She turned her phone off and tossed it onto her bed. She sighed, bored out of her mind in her tiny Florida bedroom. The harsh mid-afternoon sun was pouring through her partly-opened blinds. Sage plopped down on her desk chair and leaned back. Her leg jittered uncontrollably as she stared at the glow-in-the-dark stars on her ceiling. The teen sighed. The sun outside her window glared rudely into her room. Florida sucked. It was too hot, too sunny, and there were way-to-many mosquitoes. Alice, the annoying gremlin that was Sage's little sister, poked her head into the room. " Sissy! Mummy wants you!" her face was slightly sunburnt, and her freckles had quadrupled. " Shut up and get out of my room!" Sage hissed at her little sister. Alice scowled and stuck out her tongue. She ducked out of the room and squealed as Sage threw a large pillow at her. A few minutes later, her mother shouted something incoherent from the bottom of the stairs. Sage knew she was in trouble, but she had stopped caring, a long time ago.
