!!!Don’t read if you are offended by mild complaints!!! You're probably wondering..."why did he post a blank project" Because I have something to say. In the past almost two years on Scratch, I have been through a lot, and thanks to those who helped me in this journey. But there comes a time when we must take what we have learned and apply it to something new. You don't stay in kindergarten forever, you use your early knowledge to help you function later. The same idea applies on Scratch. Scratch is a great platform for learning and interacting with others. At some point, though, we must admit, it is not the most efficient use of our time. No one except the few users with tens of thousands of followers are technically monetized. (The monetized ones mentioned post their media on different sites for $$.) No one, that is, makes a living off of this platform, and no professional developers use block code. They use knowledge gained from block code. This is why I have chosen what I have chosen. To be successful in life, for me, in the programming field, I will need to know at least one code language besides “Scratch”. I need to work on something that can help me throughout any platform. And that’s the main reason why I’m changing my movement. What do I mean by changing my movement? Well, henceforth, I will be moving off of Scratch a bit and onto more challenging code types. I AM NOT FULLY LEAVING, just trying something new, which I hope is for the greater good for my mind. Anyways, some other reasons why I shift my movement away from Scratch: 1. Scratch is ridiculous at this point. It lacks original creators and is now full of the same old stupid memes (no offense) and lacks originality. Right now, most trending animators won’t stop talking about the “Whopper” commercial. 2. Poor values. Based on some research I have done, Scratch really likes to censor certain sides of common opinions so that their users have to read the same things. This is disgraceful and I’m tired of it. 3. Advertising & false reporting: Both are out of hand and just annoy me. 4. Limits: Scratch is limited. The cloud variables are limited to their shifty servers, and you can’t custom script a block. 5. Motivation: At some point, most of what I make goes practically unseen, even though I put so much effort into it. The same happens to some of my friends on the platform who post unique things. Meanwhile, the "Whopper" memes get 10k+ views. All of these (and more) are reasons why I am partially moving on from the platform. I am hoping to build some kind of app or website with games on it in the near future, so stay tuned! In the meantime, good luck out there and keep Scratching!
If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I will still check my mail everyday and probably dish out some projects once in awhile.
