⌨︎ ꒰ 4 . 16 . 23 ⦙ ʰᵒʷ ˢᵗᵘᵈʸ ² ˡᵃⁿᵍᵘᵃᵍᵉˢ ― + * ⊹ ⁱ ⁿ ᵗ ʳ ᵒ ꒦꒷ ⌑heyyyy it's Viv. Today I'm going to be talking about how I study two languages, Spanish and Malay. I've been studying Spanish for about a month or so, and I've been wanting to study Malay for a while now, but plan to start this week haha. So this proj is a how I study spanish/how I plan to study Malay let'sgoooo ★ ‧ ₊ ˚ ˢ ᵖ ᵃ ⁿ ⁱ ˢ ʰ ☁️⋅ ᵈⁱᵃˡᵉᶜᵗ ⌑ I looked all over for a specific Spanish learning website, and I didn't really find one specific one. If you are planning to learn spanish, I recommend choosing a dialect. I am learning Spain spanish. ʳᵉˢᵒᵘʳᶜᵉˢ ⌑ you've probably heard of Duolingo. While it's great for practicing, I do not recommend using it for learning a language. Duolingo doesn't explain to you grammar and conjugation, and it uses random sentences like, "without a doubt I want to eat ham," and "when I was young I was not allowed to wear pants" -_- ⌑ use multiple resources, not just one. That way you get the same thing explained to you twice, and it can help you understand it better ⌑ now onto the resources I use. For a dictionary, I use spanish dict (website and app), I use the free pdf textbook, "Learning Spanish: how to understand and learn a new language" it's great. The directions are in spanish and english, and it's easy to understand. But, I don't recommend using it for your only source of vocab. I look up spanish sets on quiz let as well as make my own for vocab. ⌑ Another great resource is youtube. There are great youtube videos out there that can help you with vocab, speaking, listening, or reading. My fav youtuber for spanish practice is spanish after hours. She's amazing, go check her out. ᵖʳᵃᶜᵗⁱᶜᵉ ⌑ set your phone to your target language, even if you don't know a single word. You probably know your phone like the back of your hand, so it's not too hard. It forces you to learn so much vocab it's amazing. It's also fun ⌑ keep a diary in your target language. This is great writing and reading practice. I started doing this and it's really fun. It doesn't have to be some elaborate entry, it could just be what you ate for lunch that day ✦ * ⊹ ᵐ ᵃ ˡ ᵃ ʸ ❞ ⋆·˚ ⌑ so you might be wondering why I'm learning malay. Well, I'm just learning it for fun. I don't plan to study this too deep. My brother is going to Malaysia for a couple years, and it learning Malay. And I want to learn it with him :) ⌑ my first plan was to learn it on duolingo ( i know i know i said not to use duolingo, but i'm just learning malay for fun) but it's not on duolingo... ⌑ so i did some googling and i found this website l-lingo that has malay lessons, so that's what I'll be doing - - - that's it for today's projjj hope y'all are have an amazing rest of your day luv ya <3 tags
